Helping people with disabilities roll through life

by supplying the equipment to enjoy the ride.

What We Do

The main goal of our foundation is to get disabled athletes the equipment they need to enjoy the ride. We do that primarily by selling apparel.

Help Us

You can provide life-changing equipment to the people who need it most. 100% of your contribution goes to fund wheelchair costs for someone in need.

What We're Really About

It’s never been about the amount of clothing we sell or the donations we take in, it’s always been about the individuals we can help!

…75% of the disabled people we meet say they can’t afford a sports wheelchair. They spend months fighting with insurance companies and healthcare professionals only to be denied. We want to help with this…

HUNTER BERRETH

Getting a wheelchair or any piece of equipment can be a costly and complex process

While most able bodied athletes can play sports and get the equipment they need for a few hundred dollars or less. The wheelchair Hunter needed to pursue his sporting dreams cost $2000.

Hunter spent months fighting with insurance companies and healthcare professionals to get his chair only to be denied.

After nearly a year, and thanks to a national grant Hunter was able to roll onto the field in a brand new sports chair and live his dream. Now The Hunter Berreth Foundation wants to help others achieve similar dreams.

Our STORY

The Hunter Berreth Foundation was started in 2020 by Hunter Berreth.  He was born 3 months prematurely and shortly after, diagnosed with a condition called Cerebral Palsy.

Cerebral Palsy is a condition where brain and muscle functions are impaired. In Hunter’s case, taking away the use of his legs and confining him to a wheelchair. While some may view his condition as an obstacle, He sees this as his opportunity to be unique and share his story with others.

In late 2017, Hunter was approached by an apparel company based in Minnesota called Custom Apparel Inc. or as they’ve come to be known as CA GEAR. They offered him an endorsement to be a featured athlete and wear their apparel. Hunter had a different idea.

He pitched to CA GEAR the idea of a clothing line where a portion of the proceeds would go towards equipment to help disabled athletes go out and play sports. Equipment like a specialized wheelchair designed for sports.

Wheelie

Lifestyle Brand
Standing for those who no longer can.

In early 2019, we decided that we needed to create a lifestyle brand. The collection features something for everyone. We want to represent disabled people in a fun new way. The name Wheelie comes from those who love  to test the limits of their chair’s abilities as well as their own.  When one rides a wheelie the front end of your chair rises causing one to “stand”. We want this brand to stand just as tall as those who proudly ride the wheelies.
